Tama Concert Maple 14"x5" - Piano Black

Product Description

The Tama Concert Maple Snare Drum CLMP145-PBK is a 14x5" concert snare drum designed for drummers of all levels. Its 7-ply, 6 mm maple shell delivers an open, warm and resonant sound with great sensitivity, while the unique snare mechanism allows the tone to be shaped to fit the sound of the ensemble.

The drum features a Fine Adjuster snare mechanism (MLS50AC on the batter side, MLS50BC on the butt side) together with a Hybrid Snare Wire snare set. The wires consist of 6 strands of nickel-wound round guitar string in the center, flanked on each side by 3 strands of black nylon-coated stainless steel wire. This combination allows a wider tonal range and a snare response that performs superbly, from a delicate pianissimo to a powerful, full-bodied forte.

The shell has 3 air vents and sits in MTL50 tube lugs. The hoops are Steel Mighty Hoops with 10 holes, contributing to tuning stability and a direct attack. The finish is Piano Black (PBK), a glossy black surface that gives the drum a classic orchestral look.

A great choice for players in orchestral, ensemble or other settings that call for a snare drum with a wide dynamic range and fine control over the snare response.
