Product Description
The Tama 1st Chair Glide Rider Cloth is a drum throne built for players who want a seat that stays completely put, no matter how hard they play. It's a slightly firmer take on the classic Wide Rider, with a flatter, rounder saddle-style shape.
The seat is molded and built from 12 mm stable plywood, finished with a well-sewn cloth cover. Seat Lock keeps the seat firmly clamped to the base thanks to a two-part hinged fitting with a deeper attachment point and an extra-strong wing nut, so there's no wobble or play during use.
Construction and Stability
The base uses Tama's Super Stabilizator Design: a lower base section, reshaped legs and stronger rubber feet give the throne a firmer grip on the floor. Height adjustment runs through the Glide-Tite Grip Joint, which locks the center tube more securely than earlier designs, along with 1st Chair Height Adjustment for quick, easy adjustment to the right playing height.
The 1st Chair line is also available as Glide Rider, Round Rider, Round Rider XL, Wide Rider and Ergo Rider, each offered with a cloth or faux leather seat, so you can pick the seat shape that suits your playing style.
