Product Description
The SPYR Mallet Vibrafon from ProMark is a vibraphone mallet with a medium synthetic rubber head, molded larger than most traditional vibe mallets. This gives a full tone with good articulation across the entire instrument, making it an ideal general-use mallet for practice and performance alike.
SPYR is a collaboration between ProMark and world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, the SPYR series covers the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments for the variety of ensembles and performances that educators lead, so there's no more need for multiple mallet lines to outfit different ensembles.
Construction
The handle is made from rattan, and the tip is cord-wound. The mallet has a hardness rating of 4 (medium) and a natural finish.
