SU9R - SPYR Mallet Bells
Bell mallets from ProMark's SPYR series with a large Delrin head for a very strong, bright tone. Rattan handle. Hardness 7.
Product Description
SPYR Mallet Bells from ProMark are large mallets with a Delrin head and rattan handle, built for bells and other keyboard instruments that need strong projection. They provide a very strong, bright tone and also work well on xylophone in passages where the instrument needs to project.
The SPYR series is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, it covers the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments across a variety of ensembles and performances, so there's no need for multiple mallet lines to outfit different ensembles.
Use
These mallets are ideal for indoor marching, outdoor marching and concert use, and work especially well in pieces that demand strong projection, such as the opening passage of Respighi's Pines of Rome.
