Synthetic calfskin-feel head, 40". Available in 0.25mm and 0.35mm, with or without Power Center. Open, full tone.
Product Description
The Evans Strata Cons is a synthetic orchestral drum head in 40" with a surface designed to feel like real calfskin. It's available in two thicknesses and with or without a center reinforcement, so you can choose the tone character that suits you. The sound is open and full, with either a clear attack or a bit more dynamic response depending on your choice.
Tone and Construction
The head is available in 0.25mm and 0.35mm thicknesses. The thinner head gives a more dynamic response, while the thicker 0.35mm head provides a clearer attack. Both thicknesses are also available with Power Center. A center reinforcement that focuses the tone and boosts the low end. Without Power Center, the tone stays open and full throughout the head.
Who It's For
A good choice for orchestral drummers who want a warm, acoustic-like tone with a calfskin feel, without the maintenance demands of a real skin.
