The SSG2 is Steve Gadd's signature stick, a studio classic. Its paint-free, natural finish and barrel tip give a sweet, warm cymbal sound with plenty of clarity – built for players who need sensitivity and control in the studio.
Made from hickory with a long taper, the SSG2 has a back-heavy feel with more flex and faster response – great for players who prioritize touch and control over raw power. The wood tip is barrel-shaped with a small surface area, producing a light, well-defined cymbal sound that cuts through a mix without turning harsh.
The natural, paint-free finish is Steve Gadd's own preference – no coloured lacquer to feel sticky or slick in the hand, just raw hickory under a clear protective coating.
