Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch WBS52RZS-LPO - Lacquer Phantasm Oyster Finish
Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch shell pack in Lacquer Phantasm Oyster with big fundamental tone and solid low end. Birch/walnut shells.
Product Description
The Starclassic Walnut/Birch WBS52RZS-LPO is a five-piece shell pack from Tama, finished in Lacquer Phantasm Oyster Finish. The hybrid shell combines birch and walnut for a big fundamental tone and a solid low end, with a clear, easy-to-tune sound whether you run high-tuned single heads or low-tuned fat double heads.
The kit includes a 22"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" mounted toms, and 14"x12" and 16"x14" floor toms. Two MC69 Single Tom Attachments are included for mounting the toms.
Construction
The mounted toms and floor toms have 6 mm shells with 4 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of Black Walnut, while the bass drum is built with an 8 mm shell, 5 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of American Black Walnut. Starclassic Lugs and die-cast hoops deliver focused sound and make the kit easy to tune. Star-Cast Mounting keeps the toms freely suspended for better resonance and easier positioning, and the Quick-Lock tom/leg brackets double as a memory lock with quick-release. The bass drum's claw hooks have protective rubber spacers, and the floor tom legs sit in cushioned rubber feet with an air pocket that preserves resonance.
Heads
The kit ships with Evans heads: G2 Clear batter heads on the toms and an EQ4 batter head on the bass drum.
Who It's For
A great all-around set for players who want a hybrid sound with both clarity and weight, across musical styles.
