Tama Star Reserve Bubinga/Walnut 14"x6,5" - Gloss Claro Walnut

Product Description

The Star Reserve is Tama's third-generation flagship snare drum, built from a rich blend of walnut and bubinga and topped with a maple Sound Focus Ring. The outer ply is a beautifully figured Claro Walnut with inlay, finished in high gloss. Beneath the striking looks lies the real story: a big yet tight body with clear brilliance and deep low end, a sound that sits well at both high and low volumes.

The shell is built from 5.5 mm, 6-ply bubinga/walnut with an extra outer ply of Claro Walnut, shaped by a STAR Bearing Edge that gives the drum its tight, focused character. STAR Tube Lugs and the Sound Arc Hoop (10-hole) add stability and resonance, while the head combination of a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and a Remo Ambassador snare-side head delivers a balanced, warm attack with clear definition.

The snare mechanism is Tama's "Liner-Drive" strainer and butt (MLS50A/MLS50B), paired with an MS20RL14C snare wire set for fast, even response when adjusting wire tension.

Who It's For

A drum for players who want a premium, distinctive sound in the studio or on stage. A snare that stands out both visually and sonically.
