Snarepal
Product Description
Snarepal is a simple snare dampener that solves a classic problem: sharp sound from the snare wires bleeding into other microphones on stage. It gives the sound engineer much better control of the snare in the mix, instead of it just sounding harsh and uncontrolled. Works equally well live and in the studio.
The sharp frequencies from the snare wires often bleed into other mics on stage, making the overall mix hard to control. This often forces the sound engineer to turn the snare channel down, leaving the drum sounding thin and overly bright.
How Snarepal works
With Snarepal fitted, unwanted frequencies are reduced, giving the sound engineer much better control of the snare in the mix. You can also mic the resonant head separately to capture the snare buzz on its own. Snarepal reduces volume by up to 10dB in certain unwanted frequencies – roughly a perceived halving of loudness in those frequencies.
Easy to use and store
Snarepal can be used with or without a microphone, and works equally well in the studio, live, and at rehearsal. It folds flat, making it easy to carry in your stick bag or drum bag.
Who It's For
A good choice if you regularly struggle with snare bleed in the mix – drummers who play a lot of live shows, but also anyone recording in the studio who wants cleaner separation between microphones.
