SM4 - SPYR Mallet Marimba
Marimba mallets from ProMark's SPYR series with yarn heads and birch shafts in natural finish. Full tone that cuts through the ensemble.
Product Description
The SM4 SPYR Mallet Marimba is ProMark's go-to general use mallet for indoor and outdoor marching percussion. A slightly larger mallet head with an internal brass weight delivers a full, fundamental tone that cuts through the ensemble, while a slightly thicker shaft than traditional marimba mallets improves balance and durability.
SPYR is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, the SPYR series covers the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments for the variety of ensembles and performances educators lead. No more need for multiple mallet lines to outfit your different ensembles.
Construction
The mallet head is yarn-wound on a birch shaft. The internal brass weight contributes to the full, fundamental tone, and the slightly thicker shaft gives improved balance and durability during demanding play.
Who It's For
Ideal for marimba players in indoor and outdoor marching ensembles as well as concert settings who want one mallet that covers multiple ensembles without switching mallet lines.
