ProMark SPYR Mallet Marimba SM2 - Natural
SPYR Marimba Mallet from ProMark with yarn head and birch handle. Full fundamental tone without excess weight, ideal for ensemble playing.
Product Description
The SPYR Mallet Marimba SM2 is a soft marimba mallet from ProMark with a yarn-wound head and a birch handle. It delivers a full, strong fundamental tone from the instrument without excessive weight, making it an ideal soft mallet for ensemble playing.
By molding a soft, synthetic rubber head in a slightly larger size than traditional marimba mallets, the SM2 achieves a full and strong fundamental tone without adding excessive weight to the mallet. The handle is also slightly thicker than usual, giving improved balance and added durability over time.
Part of the SPYR Series
SPYR is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, the SPYR series covers the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments across the variety of ensembles and performances educators lead, removing the need for multiple mallet lines to outfit different ensembles.
