Product Description
The Remo Skyntone is a snare drumhead made from fused poly-spun fiber in an 8-mil film, giving it a natural skin look and feel. It delivers a warm stick attack and controlled high frequencies, giving the snare a warm, gut-snare-like sound even when paired with standard wire snares.
The slightly subdued articulation makes Skyntone a strong choice in concert settings, where metal snare drums often sound too sharp and tinny in the room. On a standard drum set, at higher tuning ranges, Skyntone provides a warm, controlled sound with an excellent surface for brushes.
At 8 mil, Skyntone is slightly thicker than Remo's Fiberskyn Diplomat, which contributes to its controlled, warm character.
