Product Description

The SKB 3i-2918-14B-C is a waterproof utility case molded from impact-resistant polypropylene, built to military standards to protect sensitive equipment from water, dust and impact damage. It features a molded-in hinge, a patented trigger release latch and a comfortable rubber over-molded cushion grip handle, making it a solid choice for transporting and storing delicate gear.

Construction

The case is injection molded from ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, with a gasketed, water- and dust-tight submersible design rated to MIL-C-4150J. It resists UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus and impact damage per MIL-STD-810F. The molded-in hinge and patented trigger release latch system make it quick to open and close, while the rubber over-molded cushion grip handle gives a comfortable, secure hold. An automatic ambient pressure equalization valve (MIL-STD-648C) balances internal and external pressure, allowing the case to be opened safely after, for example, air travel.

Dimensions and Contents

Exterior dimensions are 803 x 521 x 400 mm, with interior dimensions of 737 x 457 x 356 mm. The lid depth is 64 mm and the base depth is 292 mm. The case ships with cubed foam (CF) that can be pulled apart to create custom-fit compartments for your equipment. It accepts a padlock and has a built-in pull handle, but no built-in tow handle.
