Meinl Sonic Energy Sidereal Moon - Silver-anodized

Product Description

The Sidereal Moon Energy Chime from Meinl Sonic Energy is a handcrafted chime bar in anodized aluminum, precisely tuned to 3638.88 Hz (A7#). It's part of Meinl's Planetary series and is used in sound healing and therapeutic work, where each bar reproduces the vibrational rate of a celestial body. In this case, the moon.

Tuning and Background

Meinl's Planetary Tuned Energy Chimes are tuned using Hans Cousto's calculations of the Cosmic Octave, which convert the orbital periods of celestial bodies into audible frequencies. The Sidereal Moon is tuned to 3638.88 Hz, corresponding to the note A7# (based on A4/a' 440 Hz, equivalent to 429.33 Hz in the cosmic reference system). Each chime in the series represents a different celestial body, and this one is designed to reproduce the moon's frequency.

Construction

The chime is made from silver-anodized aluminum and measures 13.82 cm in length, 3.4 cm in width and 4.6 cm in height, with a net weight of 114 g. It's printed with a logo and pitch information, so you can always see which frequency the bar is tuned to. The chime comes with a wooden mallet and is handmade in Thailand.

Who It's For

A good choice if you work with sound healing, meditation or therapeutic sound work and want a single, precisely tuned tone to build on or combine with other planetary chimes.
