Shuffled Backbeats MIDI
MIDI pack from Toontrack with shuffled drum grooves for rock, AOR and pop, adding authentic swing feel to your tracks.
Product Description
Shuffled Backbeats MIDI is a MIDI pack from Toontrack packed with shuffled drum grooves inspired by classic songs across rock, AOR and pop. It brings the distinct swing feel associated with drummers like Bernard Purdie, Jeff Porcaro and Steve Jordan straight into your production.
Playing a shuffle isn't just about backing off certain notes. It's a subtle art of timing and finesse, where the swung eighth and sixteenth notes give the groove its character. This pack captures that feel across a broad palette: blues-tinged rock backbeats, ghost note-ridden AOR grooves, and a host of laid-back variations perfect for any ballad or soul track.
The grooves are performed by a professional drummer and cover 4/4, 6/8 and 12/8 time signatures, in both shuffle and halftime-shuffle feel, with tempos ranging from 61 to 152 BPM. The files are categorized by song structure (intro, verse, chorus, bridge, fills, etc.), making it easy to find the right groove for the right part of the song.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want to give your drum productions an authentic, living swing feel without programming every nuance yourself, whether you're working in classic rock or modern pop.
