Product Description
The VR1 is a passive ribbon microphone from sE Electronics in the VR Series, with a figure-8 pickup pattern. It is built for guitar cabinets and brings out bite and edge in the guitar sound without muddying the top end.
The ribbon is hand-tensioned in sE's capsule room by specialised technicians, with a thickness of 2.5 µm in aluminium. Full frequency range is achieved with a mechanical device designed by Siwei Zou, sE's CEO. The microphone requires no phantom power and is phantom-protected.
