It has supercardioid directional characteristics and a construction that reduces structure-borne noise, handling noise and wind noise.

Construction

The microphone is built in zinc alloy with a grille in spring steel. The grille has a bevelled edge that stops the microphone from rolling. Inside sits a patented integrated capsule suspension that reduces structure-borne noise and handling noise, along with an internal windscreen that reduces wind noise.

Function

The V7-X offers high gain before feedback and rejects off-axis sound. The XLR connector is gold-plated and connects via 3-pin XLR. The magnet is neodymium.

The package includes the microphone, microphone clip, thread adapter, black internal windscreen, carrying case, sE logo sticker and manual.

Feel

sE describes the V7-X as a microphone that lifts the curtain between the source and the listener, for a new level of connection to the performance. A dynamic microphone converts sound waves into an electrical signal using a coil and a magnet.
