Product Description
sE Electronics RNT is a tube condenser microphone developed in collaboration between sE Electronics and Rupert Neve Designs. It has a handmade 1" true condenser capsule with a Gold-sputtered finish and delivers a clean, musical sound character with depth and clarity, a modern take on classic studio microphones.
Technology
The tube microphone is built around a 12AU7/ECC82 tube and offers 9 polar patterns to choose from. Gain can be switched between -12, 0 and +12 dB, and a switchable high-pass filter at 40/80 Hz with 12 dB/oct is available.
Performance
The microphone handles a maximum sound pressure level of 151 dB and has an equivalent noise level of 18 dB(A). The dynamic range is 133 dB and the signal-to-noise ratio is 76 dB. The frequency range spans from 20 Hz to 20 000 Hz with a sensitivity of 16 mV/Pa (-36 dB). Electrical impedance is 30 Ohm, and the recommended load impedance is above 2k Ohm.
Construction
The microphone has an all-metal housing, is 240 mm long and weighs 989 g with a diameter of 62 mm. The connection is made via 3-pin XLR on the floor box, which measures 356 x 135 x 100 mm and weighs 3,905 g.

The package includes the RNT microphone, shock mount, floor box for power supply, 8-pin cable, IEC power cable, wooden box, flight case, sE logo decal, and a manual with warranty card. The microphone is suited for close miking of guitar cabinets, brass instruments and drums.
