Product Description
A metal pop filter from sE Electronics that blocks pops without attenuating high frequencies, thanks to a slightly convex screen that redirects low-frequency air blasts to the side instead of stopping them head-on. It mounts on an adjustable gooseneck arm that holds its position.
Unlike a fabric pop screen, this metal screen is not simply perforated but shaped with a slight convex curve. This redirects low-frequency air blasts from plosives like p and b to the side of the screen rather than letting them punch straight through. Because the process doesn't attenuate high frequencies the way fabric screens can, the vocal performance stays completely unaffected, minus the disruptive low-frequency "pops".
The gooseneck holds its position at any angle, so the screen stays exactly where you place it throughout a session. Since the whole thing is made of metal, it takes a lot more abuse than a traditional fabric shield. Built to last.
