sE Electronics KLS-150
Product Description
The sE Electronics KLS 150 is a closed-back, over-ear headphone that lets you decide for yourself how much bass you want in your headphones. You set it with a knob on each earcup, entirely mechanically and with no batteries or electronics. The dual-shell earcups and sealing memory foam pads shut out the sound of your kit, so you hear the click, the backing tracks and the band's mix clearly whether you are recording, running tracks live or putting in long hours in the rehearsal room.
Shuts Out the Kit
The dual-shell earcups seal around your ears with leatherette pads, passively blocking outside sound so the click and the mix don't get buried under snare and cymbals. In the studio, the tight seal also keeps headphone bleed down, so less click ends up in your overhead mics. The isolation is fully passive; there is no active noise cancelling.
Bass the Way You Like It
Most studio headphones have a fixed sound signature you cannot change. On the KLS 150, each earcup has a control knob, tucked under the removable earcup covers, that changes the acoustics inside the cup. The adjustment is entirely mechanical and passive, with no batteries, electronics, DSP or software. Want a fuller low end in the tracks you play along to? Turn it up. Want a neutral listen to a take? Turn it back. The control only affects what you hear from the headphones, not how much of your kit gets through. Clear markings make it easy to find the same position again, and the covers keep your setting in place when you pack up.
Comfortable Through Long Sessions
The memory foam pads adapt to the shape of your head and spread the pressure evenly, and at 335 g the KLS 150 is light enough for a long rehearsal or a full day of tracking. The sound comes from a custom 40 mm heavy-duty dynamic driver with a neodymium magnet, designed for detailed reproduction with low distortion.
Built for Rehearsal and Tour
Glass-fibre reinforced parts and corrosion-resistant spring steel make for a sturdy build that is happy to live in your stick bag or case. The detachable 3 m cable has a locking connector that stays put even if you snag it behind the kit. The earcups swivel 90° when you want one ear on the band or the room, and the headphones fold up for transport. With an impedance of 39 ohms, they work with audio interfaces and headphone amps, and a USB-C adapter is included for devices with a USB-C port.
Who It's For
The KLS 150 is a good choice for drummers who need sealed, comfortable headphones for playing to a click, running backing tracks or recording. The bass adjustment means the same pair works for playing and for listening back to your takes afterwards. A solid pick if you want one closed-back pair that handles both studio and stage.

Our Tips
- Try more bass when you play to tracks. A fuller low end in your headphones makes the bass line easier to hear and lock in with.
- Keep a fixed, more neutral setting for listening back to takes. The markings make switching back easy.
- Run the cable behind your throne so it doesn't catch on the hi-hat stand.
- Leave the earcup covers on in your bag, so your bass setting is ready for the next session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do they block out the sound of the drums?
Yes. The closed dual-shell earcups and sealing pads passively block outside sound, so you hear the click and the mix more clearly. The manufacturer does not, however, state an attenuation figure in dB.
Can they replace hearing protection?
No. The KLS 150 is a studio headphone with no stated attenuation rating, so it is not classed as hearing protection.
Does the KLS 150 have active noise cancelling?
No. The isolation comes entirely from the closed construction and the ear pads.
Does the bass adjustment need batteries or software?
No. Bass Control is fully mechanical. You turn the knobs in the earcups to change the acoustics.

Headphones, removable earcup covers, an earcup cover opening tool, a straight 3 m cable, a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm screw-on adapter, a 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter and a protective drawstring pouch.
