The sE Electronics DM2 T.N.T is an active inline preamp built on the acclaimed DM1 DYNAMITE, offering even more gain, less noise and more flexibility. It connects directly to the output of a passive ribbon or dynamic microphone, delivering a clean, transparent boost without needing an extra cable. A recessed gain switch lets you choose between 15 dB and 30 dB of gain, while the ultra-high impedance input with eight load settings lets you match the DM2 T.N.T precisely to any microphone.

Matching the load to your microphone

Many inline preamps strain the transducer of a passive microphone due to their electronic design, degrading both sound quality and output level. The DM2 T.N.T's ultra-high impedance input and eight selectable load settings (50 Ω–10 MΩ) let you fine-tune the match to your specific microphone, for the lowest possible noise.

Electronics and build

The sophisticated Class-A circuit with carefully selected FET components gives the lowest self-noise in its class, and the dedicated output buffer has the lowest output impedance in its class. That means the preamp drives long cable runs with ease while reducing susceptibility to RF interference, buzz and hum. Gain of +15 dB or +30 dB stays consistent regardless of the connected load. The unit is phantom-powered and requires no external power supply.
