SE ELECTRONICS DM2 - Black
sE Electronics DM2 Black active in-line preamp with adjustable gain and impedance for dynamic microphones.
Product Description
The DM2 Black is an ultra-slim, active in-line preamp from sE Electronics that gives dynamic and ribbon microphones extra gain when your mixer preamp can't provide enough. Choose between +15 dB and +30 dB gain and eight impedance settings between 50Ω and 10MΩ to match your microphone exactly.
Some microphones need more gain than certain preamps can deliver. The DM2 Black solves that simply: place it between your cable and your microphone, switch on 48V phantom power on your mixer, and you're ready to go.
Easy to use
The preamp connects between the microphone cable and the microphone via an XLR connector and is powered by 48V Phantom Power from the mixer or audio interface. The adjustable gain (+15 or +30 dB mono signal) and eight impedance settings let you dial in the right character for your microphone without extra cabling or a separate power source.
Build
The housing is metal, and the preamp measures 19 mm in diameter and 96 mm in length, weighing 80 g, making it easy to carry in your microphone bag. Microphone and cable are not included.

Our Tips
- Try both gain settings (+15 dB and +30 dB) to find the right level before fine-tuning the impedance.
- Especially useful for dynamic and ribbon microphones that need more gain than your mixer's own preamp provides.
