Product Description
The Schlagwerk U80 Neck Udu is designed in the fashion of the African original, featuring a long, ribbed neck that can be played in its own right. The neck yields a high percussive sound that forms an appealing interval against the bass root tone from the body, giving you two distinct voices from a single drum.
The ribbed neck isn't just decorative. Striking or gripping it produces a high, percussive tone that contrasts nicely with the deep fundamental from the body, making this Udu more versatile than a traditional single-chamber design.
The drum is handmade in Germany from clay and comes with a stand ring.
