The Schlagwerk Wave Shaker (SKW10) is one of the most versatile shakers around, based on the African kayamba. Moving it side to side produces a fascinating wave and surf sound, while it also works as a powerful live shaker with short, mid, and long shaker sounds. A great choice if you want a flexible hand percussion instrument for traditional, modern, or experimental music.

Sound and Function
The Wave Shaker is built with a multi-chamber system and a special internal construction that creates the wave effect. Moving it back and forth produces a surfing, wave-like sound, but you can also play it as a regular powerful shaker with short, mid, or long shaker sound. This wide sound palette means the SKW10 fits equally well in traditional arrangements as in modern or experimental compositions.
Construction
The body is made from multilayer birch veneer with a design veneer surface. It measures approximately 400 x 100 x 19 mm and weighs approximately 360 grams.
