Schlagwerk Cajon Add-On Side Kick for Cajon
Side Kick cajon add-on from Schlagwerk in birch and beech, 23x3x20 cm. Adds a sharp castanet-like click, mounts to either side of the cajon.
Product Description
The Side Kick from Schlagwerk is an independent percussion effect that mounts to the side of a cajon, producing an assertive click sound reminiscent of castanets or claves. It's easy to mount and remove, and can be attached to either side of the cajon.
- Assertive click effect reminiscent of castanets or claves
- Easy to mount and remove
- Mountable on both sides of the cajon
- Made from birch and beech
The Side Kick is typically played with the heel while seated on the cajon, adding a sharp click alongside the kick drum sound. It's especially effective in combination with the Heck Stick. Another playing variation is to position the Side Kick in front of you and play it similar to a bass drum pedal (BDPedal); Schlagwerk recommends combining this with a drum mat for stability.
Who It's For
A great choice for cajon players who want an extra rhythmic layer without modifying the cajon itself, and for anyone curious about a pedal-style playing technique.
