Schlagwerk RTS51D Ø 50 cm/20" - Black Dot

Product Description

The Black Dot 20″ is a frame drum from Schlagwerk with a goatskin head and a 7-ply glued beech wood frame. It produces distinct basses and controlled, muted overtones, making it appealing to both frame drum players and drummers looking to expand their sound.

The Black Dot surface protects the goatskin while keeping the sound absolutely pure and natural, a hallmark of Schlagwerk's frame drums. The drum is tuned using 10 tuning screws integrated within the frame, allowing precise control over pitch and volume and opening up the subtlest nuances of tone. A tuning key is included.

The drum comes with a wooden holding cross, which lets it be played as an extension of a drum set using sticks and rods. If you want to mount the drum on a stand, Schlagwerk's drum cross holder RTH10 is available as a separate accessory. It is not included in the delivery.

Construction and Size

The frame is built from 7 plies of glued beech wood with a frame height of 8 cm. The model is available in two diameters, Ø 60 and Ø 50 cm. This variant is Ø 50 cm (approx. 20″).

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to add a frame drum with clear, controlled tone to your setup, or for percussionists who want a drum with a natural, pure sound and room for fine tonal nuance.
