Product Description
The Pan Shaker is Schlagwerk's first Add On designed specifically for handpan, bringing an additional sound option to handpan playing. The small shaker attaches with a simple magnet to the top or bottom of the handpan, or can be held and shaken in the hand like a regular shaker.
The magnet attachment allows flexible positioning. You can place it on top of the handpan, underneath it, on other magnetic surfaces, or simply shake it freely in your hand as a standalone instrument. The attachment fits all Schlagwerk handpans. Handpans from other manufacturers may not be magnetic, so compatibility can vary.
Sound and Feel
The Pan Shaker offers a sensitive response, producing subtle shaker textures with light playing. With stronger playing, the sound field of the handpan itself is also triggered, blending the two sounds together.
Construction
The shaker is built from aluminium with an elastic band for sound isolation, using a single chamber system. It is delivered on a cardboard backcard, with no plastic used in the packaging.
