Schlagwerk Urban OS - Grunge Black
Schlagwerk Urban OS Grunge Black cajon, 30x30x50 cm. Gritty street look, intense stage-ready sound.
Product Description
The Urban OS Grunge Black is a cajon from Schlagwerk with a rough, worn street look that's matched by its sound. The Gabon playing surface delivers a fresh, original and intense tone that holds up on stage, even without a microphone.
The textured design on the playing surface isn't just for looks. It gives you more contact surface when playing with rods or cajon brushes, so strokes feel more defined and easier to control.
Construction and sound
The resonance box is built from 8 layers of birch, giving the shell stability and a full low end. The playing surface is made from Gabon (Aucoumea klaineana), a wood that contributes to the intense, cutting-through tone Urban OS cajons are known for. The snare sound comes from 2x2 special Precise snare strings, fitted with premium components for the best possible sound and quality.
Feel
The cajon has a pleasant haptic feel, noticeable straight away during longer playing sessions.
Who It's For
A good choice if you play live and want a cajon that cuts through the mix on its own merits, with a look to match a raw stage sound. Urban OS is also available in Old Red and Black Burst finishes.
