The Schlagwerk Windchimes Shiva Shakti is a wind chime with a round, warm tone that unites two contrasting tunings in a single instrument. The tubes are tuned to two tonic notes in thirds (roughly equivalent to G# and B in the Western scale), together with their corresponding fifths and octaves, creating a rich, harmonious blend.
Tuning and Sound
The name Shiva Shakti refers to the union of the planetary tones of the sun and the moon, calculated according to mathematician Hans Cousto's tuning system. The result is a wind chime with a constant, long-lasting sound and precise tuning. The tubes resonate together in melodious harmonies rather than as isolated, random tones.
Construction
The tubes are made from nature-anodized aluminium using premium components, chosen for the best possible sound and quality. Total length is 175 cm, giving the chimes good presence and volume both outdoors and indoors.
