Schlagwerk CBA20S 50 cm

Product Description

Schlagwerk's cajon construction kit lets you build your own drum from scratch, no woodworking skills required. The parts come precisely prefabricated so assembly goes quickly and results in a sturdy instrument, and everything you need for gluing and tensioning is included. In about 90 minutes you'll have a finished cajon ready to play.

The playing surface is birch and the resonance box is SPL, a combination that gives a clear, direct attack with good projection. Inside sit two snare elements with 20 spirals each, delivering the classic buzzing snare sound cajons are known for.

Easy Assembly

The kit is designed to be as straightforward as possible: the components are carefully prefabricated and fit together without fine-tuning. The box includes quick-drying glue and tensioning belts to hold the construction together while the glue sets, plus assembly instructions in five languages (German, English, French, Italian and Spanish).

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to get to know the instrument from the ground up, build something yourself, or simply want an affordable way into cajon playing. Finished dimensions are approximately 30 x 30 x 50 cm.
