Schlagwerk Baseplate BP40 for Bass Cajon - Black

The BP40 is a baseplate from Schlagwerk that turns a Bass Cajon into a bass-drum-style percussion tool. Paired with the included special beater, you can build bass drum patterns directly into your cajon playing without needing a standard bass drum pedal. The plate is made from birch, painted black, and gives the beater a solid surface to strike.

Product Description

The combination of base plate, the provided special beater and a Bass Cajon offers percussionists and drummers brand new possibilities for integrating bass drum patterns into their playing. By placing a condensor microphone on a small cushion inside the cajon, you can capture a genuine bass drum sound. A smart way to build a complete percussion kick tool.

Construction

The base plate is made of birch and painted black. Measurements are 52 x 37.5 x 8 cm. A special beater for the Booster Box is included in the delivery. Note that no bass drum pedal is included. The plate is intended to be used with your own pedal or played by hand with the beater.

Who It's For

A great choice if you play cajon and want to add a clear bass drum feel to your live sound or recordings, without investing in a full bass drum setup.
