Product Description

The Frame Drum Black Dot is designed to appeal to both frame drum players and drummers. Distinct basses and controlled, muted overtones open up a new world of sound, and with the included wooden holding cross, the drum can also be played as an extension of a drum kit using sticks and rods.

The Black Dot skin surface protects the goatskin head while preserving the pure, natural sound that all of Schlagwerk's frame drums are known for. The drum can be tuned using tuning screws integrated within the frame, allowing very subtle adjustments to tone and volume.

Playing and Mounting

The included wooden cross lets you hold and play the drum freely by hand. For stand mounting, Schlagwerk's drum cross holder RTH10 is available separately, letting the Black Dot be played as an additional voice in a drum kit setup, with sticks or rods.

Construction

The frame is built from 7 glued plies of beech wood and fitted with a goatskin head. It is tuned with 10 integrated tuning screws, and a tuning key is included. Frame height is 8 cm.

According to the manufacturer, the Black Dot model is also available in a Ø50 cm diameter. This listing is the Ø60 cm version.
