Schlagwerk Log Drum 8 Tones C-Pentatonic
Eight clear tones in a C-pentatonic scale for open, intuitive playing without worrying about loose tone plates.
Product Description
The Schlagwerk Log Drum 60C80 is an eight-tone slit drum tuned to a C-pentatonic scale, built for clear, open and inspiring sound. Because every note in the pentatonic scale sits well together, you can play freely and intuitively without worrying about dropping or losing tone plates.
The playing surface is made from padouk (Pterocarpus soyauxii), with a resonance box in solid alder (Alnus). It measures approximately 60 x 20 x 18 cm.
The drum is tuned to eight notes: e, g, a, c′, d′, e′, g′ and a′, in a pentatonic scale for intuitive playing. No music theory required to play melodically right away.
Recommended mallets are the Schlagwerk MA102 and MA103 (sold separately).
