Sound and Response

The bell is smaller and raw compared to what's typically found on larger crashes, giving the cymbal fast response. The new hammering style is much more visible on the surface, thanks to a larger, rounder peen, and it's this hammering that gives the cymbal its thinner, more complex and slightly darker character. At the same time, more highs are introduced into the sound, resulting in a wider band of frequency overall.
