Sound and Feel

Hammered from pure SABIAN B20 bronze, the unique design and large-peen hammering of HHX Suspended Cymbals deliver quick response with dark, rich shimmer while offering enhanced projection. According to Sabian, only the Artisan series shares a similarly quick response time among their cymbals.

The cymbal remains sensitive enough at softer dynamic levels while also handling relatively loud playing, making it ideal when a dark sound and shimmering sustain are desired. They're a popular choice with professional and collegiate ensembles, as well as discriminating high schools.

Suspended vs. Crash

The main difference between a suspended cymbal and a crash cymbal is the longer sustain of the suspended cymbal. Because of this, 15" through 18" suspended cymbals are an economical choice, offering the versatility to also be used as crash cymbals.
