Product Description
The award-winning Sabian Artisan Suspended 17" is hand-hammered from pure Sabian B20 bronze. It's highly sought after by professional and collegiate ensembles, as well as discriminating high schools, thanks to its characteristically dark, rich sound with a wide range of partials. The unique design and high-density hammering allow the cymbal to deliver quick response along with enhanced projection.
- High-density hand hammering for Artisan's legendary, centuries-old sound
- Unique design enhances projection
- Produces full range of low, mid and high partials at all dynamic levels
- Quality protected by SABIAN Two-Year Warranty
Although characteristically dark, this cymbal provides an extremely wide range of low, mid and high partials, while offering enhanced projection. It works well in band and orchestral compositions that don't require a great deal of volume, and it's ideal when a dark, rich sound with quick response is required.
Suspended vs. crash
The main difference between a suspended cymbal and a crash cymbal is sustain. A suspended cymbal has longer sustain. Because of this, 15" through 18" suspended cymbals are an economical choice, since they have the versatility for use as crash cymbals too.
