16" Sabian Artisan Suspended Effects Cymbal
Suspended effects cymbal in B20 bronze from Sabian, 16", hand-hammered with dark tone and quick response.
Product Description
The SABIAN 16" Artisan Suspended is a hand-hammered suspended effects cymbal made from pure SABIAN B20 bronze. It delivers a dark, rich sound with quick response and a wide range of low, mid and high partials, making it a strong choice for band and orchestral use.
- High-density hand hammering for Artisan's legendary sound
- Unique design enhances projection
- Produces a full range of low, mid and high partials at all dynamic levels
- Quality protected by SABIAN's Two-Year Warranty
Sound Character
The cymbal is characteristically dark, yet provides an extremely wide range of low, mid and high partials, with enhanced projection thanks to its unique design and hammering technique. The high-density hammering also gives it a quick response to the stick.
Usage
16" Artisan Suspended works well in band and orchestral compositions that don't require a great deal of volume, and is ideal when a dark, rich sound with quick response is called for. The main difference between a suspended cymbal and a crash cymbal is sustain: the suspended cymbal has longer sustain. Because of this, suspended cymbals from 15" to 18" are an economical choice, since they also work well as crash cymbals.
