Product Description
The SABIAN AAX Medium Hat Top is a 14" hi-hat top with a smaller, raw bell that delivers a crisp, versatile sound. A completely new hammering style, using a larger, rounder peen, creates a more complex and slightly darker character, while introducing more highs for a wider frequency band overall.
Sound and Feel
The smaller, raw bell gives a crispy, versatile sound that blends nicely into mainstream musical settings. The foot is very solid, and the thinner-sounding Medium weight makes it ideal for studio recording. The new hammering style is clearly visible on the surface thanks to the larger, rounder peen, resulting in a more complex, slightly darker pair sound. At the same time, more highs are introduced, giving drummers brighter highs and more complex lows across a wider band of frequency.
