Roots MIDI

Product Description

Roots MIDI is a MIDI pack from Toontrack, recorded by jazz/fusion drummer extraordinaire Morgan Ågren, with a slightly rootsier feel than his earlier Jazz MIDI library. It's built for drummers who want his signature groove applied to their own drum sounds, across big band, ballad, funk and blues styles.

This pack is a great complement for owners of Jazz MIDI who simply couldn't get enough of Morgan's patented feel, or for first-timers looking for drums with a slight "rootsier" character.

Content and structure

The pack features leading instrument categorization in full 8-bar-or-longer loops, full songs as basic or intermediate versions, and rudiment and ending sections. Styles are played in both straight and swing feel. Please note that this is the same MIDI as included in the Roots SDX.

Compatibility

Roots MIDI works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3. It's optimized for a kit consisting of 1 kick, 1 snare, 2 toms, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal.
