The V-51 is the hub of Roland's 5 Series, built on the same V71 engine as the flagship module but in a more compact, fast-access format. It brings professional sound to quick panel controls and a multichannel workflow, so you get back to playing sooner.

Feel & Sound

Sticks meet mesh like wood on skin, cymbals breathe, and every ghost note finds its place in the phrase. The V71 engine is built on a DW multi-layer sampled library, preserving the acoustic nerve's warmth, attack, and groove. Whether you're practicing quietly late at night or tracking tight demo takes.

Connectivity & Flow

The module offers multichannel USB-C audio that captures each drum on its own track, MIDI for software instruments and hybrid rigs, and Bluetooth for frictionless play-alongs. Recording is handled directly to SD card, and an app with Wi-Fi and wireless control simplifies kit management and mapping. Three inputs are available for digital snare, ride, and hi-hat, plus an analog mix-in. Output runs through a stereo master plus two assignable mono outs.

Sound Modify & Compatibility

A 4.3-inch color screen and dedicated panel faders give quick access to sound editing via Sound Modify. The V-51 is cross-compatible with expansions and kit packs from both the V71 and V31 series, making it easy to expand the sound library further.
