The RDK-1 is Roland's own drum key, made to fit V-Drums rack systems. Its slim, flangeless shape lets it reach down into the tight recesses on the rack where a standard drum key is usually too bulky to fit.
The key also works on all Roland V-Drums pads and on traditional drum tensioning bolts, so you don't need to carry separate keys if you have both a rack and acoustic drums or other pads. The head is magnetized, giving a secure grip on the bolt and letting you park the key on a rack bolt between sessions – handy when you need quick access for on-the-spot adjustments.
