Product Description
The TD313 is a compact electronic kit from Roland's V-Drums 3 Series, built for daily practice and home recording. Its V31 module runs the same sound engine as the V71 and V51 in Roland's premium kits, and a quiet hi-hat and kick pad let you play without disturbing the rest of the house. Kick pedal and drum throne are not included.
You get three toms, snare, hi-hat, crash and ride on a compact stand that takes up little floor space. The pads and cymbals follow your dynamics, from soft ghost notes to hard accents.
Sound and Module
The V31 is built on a multi-sampled sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW). A large color display and EZ Edit controls make fast work of changing tuning, muffling and instrument types. You can also import your own samples.
With the built-in wireless adapter you can download more V-Drums Instrument Expansions and Kit Packs from Roland Cloud using the Roland Cloud Connect app, including multi-layer expansions based on DW kits. A six-month Roland Cloud Ultimate membership is included, which gives you access to the DW Soundworks software instrument.
Pads and Cymbals
The PDX-12 snare pad offers cross-stick detection and a realistic rim feel. The redesigned PD-8H and PD-10H tom pads use offset sensors for natural dynamics and reduced hot spots. The dual-zone CY-12C-T crash and three-zone CY-14R-T ride both have natural acoustic weight and choke control.
For home playing, the CY-5/FD-9 hi-hat system and KD-10 kick pad make a real difference. The hi-hat is quiet with minimal sound transfer to the floor, and the durable KD-10 gives a genuine acoustic feel with low in-room noise. Everything mounts on the MDS-Compact stand for a sturdy, efficient setup in tight spaces.
Practice and Coaching
The built-in coach mode includes Phrase Trainer, Stroke Monitor and other advanced tools. You also get Drum Pass, an exclusive Roland bundle of 100 free Melodics lessons for V-Drums players. Stream music and backing tracks from your phone over Bluetooth, record and play back songs via SD card, and connect a music player or a Roland percussion pad to the analog mix input.
Connectivity and Expansion
USB-C carries multichannel audio and MIDI, so you can record each drum on its own track in your DAW and play software instruments. The V31 Editor software (macOS/Windows) and V-Drums Play app (iOS/Android) put the module's key functions at your fingertips. A dedicated input takes an advanced Roland digital snare, ride or hi-hat pad, and two extra analog trigger inputs cover a fourth tom and a second crash.

Can the kit be set up for left-handed players?
