Product Description

The Roland TD-27KV2 is a flagship-class digital drum kit built for players who record, rehearse and practice regularly. Generously sized pads give you a comfortable feel behind the kit, and the digital snare, hi-hat and ride pads deliver expression that's hard to tell apart from acoustic drums. The TD-27 module is built on the same Prismatic Sound Modeling technology found in the flagship TD-50X.

Go-Big Playability

The kit's spacious layout and large, comfortable pads let you use your standard acoustic drum techniques without compromise. The mesh heads and newly developed thin cymbals offer a feel that's close to an acoustic kit.

Digital Snare, Hi-Hat and Ride

The 14" digital snare pad, the PD-140DS, has a three-layer mesh head fitted to a standard 14" shell, with a multi-element sensor system that detects head hits, rimshots and cross-stick technique in real time. The VH-14D hi-hat (14") mounts on a standard acoustic hi-hat stand and delivers high sensitivity for open/closed playing and foot articulations. The CY-18DR ride (18") captures everything from edge to bell with detailed dynamics, and you can mute the bell with a gentle finger touch. The kit also includes thin-profile V-Cymbals (crash) CY-12C-T and CY-14C-T from the V-Drums Acoustic Design series and a KD-10 kick pad that dampens noise while keeping a satisfying kick "thud" — compatible with both single and double pedals.

Sound and Processing

The TD-27 module uses Prismatic Sound Modeling — the same technology found in the TD-50X — combining studio-recorded samples with advanced behavior modeling. 75 preset kits (10 all-new) are included, and more sounds can be downloaded via Roland Cloud or imported as your own WAV samples via SD card. PureAcoustic Ambience technology lets you play in a variety of acoustic spaces, and support for parallel compression plus enhanced layering gives you even more ways to shape your sound.

Connectivity and Practice

Wirelessly stream songs and backing tracks via Bluetooth, or record up to 28 channels of audio through a single USB cable. A stereo mix output plus two assignable outputs make it easy to send individual drum sounds to a PA mixer. The module's Coach mode and the free Melodics for V-Drums application help you build a sense of groove, tempo and stamina.

Note that the hi-hat stand and snare stand are not included.
