The Roland TD-07KV is a compact electronic drum kit built around Roland's V-Drums technology, designed for practicing and recording at home. The snare and toms use Roland's quiet double-ply mesh heads, while large crash and ride pads and a dedicated kick pad give a feel that stays close to an acoustic kit. The TD-07 module holds 143 instruments and ready-to-play kits, plus deep tools for shaping your own sounds.

Sound and Feel

The PDX-8 (8") snare pad has independent head and rim zones, letting you assign separate sounds for rimshots and cross-sticks, while the three PDX-6A (6") tom pads are single-zone. The CY-8 (12") crash and ride cymbals support choke, and the CY-5 (10") hi-hat comes with a detachable pedal offering fine, incremental control between open and closed. The KD-10 kick pad delivers realistic rebound and beater feel.

Truly Quiet Drums

The mesh heads minimize pad noise without compromising stick rebound, and special damping in the kick pad reduces noise and vibration while keeping a natural feel. Even the metal four-post rack stand is designed to reduce vibration transfer to the floor – useful if you're practicing in an apartment or near other rooms.

Connectivity and Features

Onboard Bluetooth (version 4.2, A2DP for audio, GATT for MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy, SBC codec) lets you play along with tracks and lessons from a phone, tablet or computer directly through the module, and send MIDI wirelessly to music apps. The USB COMPUTER port (Hi-speed USB, type B) handles both USB MIDI and USB Audio, with a native sampling rate of 44.1 kHz and 96/48 kHz available via the sampling rate converter, 2 channels record and playback. Other connections include OUTPUT/PHONES and MIX IN (both stereo mini jacks) and a DB-25 TRIGGER INPUT. The display is a 16x2-character backlit LCD.

The TD-07KV suits players who want to practice and record at home without disturbing others, and who may want to dig deeper into sound editing later on. The kit can be expanded with a second crash cymbal (CY-8 V-Cymbal and MDY-Standard cymbal arm sold separately). Note that the kick pedal is sold separately.
