Product Description
The TD-07DMK is the entrance to Roland's V-Drums TD-07 series – compact and affordable, yet built with the tone, feel and features of higher-tier kits. A great choice if you want a genuine electronic drum kit at home without it taking up too much space.
The pads are smaller than those on higher-priced kits, but the feel is still authentic thanks to the PDX-8 snare and the three PDX-6A toms, all fitted with Roland's quiet double-ply mesh heads that can be tuned with standard tension rods. The compact CY-5 crash and ride cymbal lets the kit fit even in tight spaces, and together with the stand-mounted KD-2 bass drum pad, the TD-07DMK becomes a great kit to have at home.
Sound and editing
The TD-07 module includes 25 preset kits, 25 user kit slots and 143 instruments. With V-Edit, EQ, ambience and 30 multi-effects you can fine-tune the sound and build your own kit from scratch – features that go well beyond what an acoustic kit can offer.
Pads and cymbals
The PDX-8 is an 8" snare with main and edge trigger zones, letting you assign different sounds depending on where you hit. The three PDX-6A toms are 6.5" with a single zone each. The CY-5 cymbals are 10" and serve as both crash and ride, with a choke function to mute the sound instantly. The hi-hat (also CY-5, 10") has an integrated foot pedal with fine control between open and closed positions.
Rack, connectivity and practice tools
The rack is a metal construction with four posts and robust, strong-gripping clamps. Built-in Bluetooth lets you wirelessly stream audio from your phone, tablet or computer and send MIDI data to music apps. The module features an advanced metronome where you can adjust time signature, note value and click sound, plus an onboard Coach mode to help build timing skills and track progress. USB is included for recording audio and MIDI data to computer-based recording software. The kit can also be upgraded later with a second crash cymbal.
Who It's For
A great fit if you want a genuine V-Drums kit at home without giving up too much on space or price – also suitable for beginners thanks to the Coach mode. Note that a bass drum pedal is not included.
