Every component of the SPD-SX PRO has been designed and tested to survive the rigors of life on tour. The nine durable playing surfaces include six large pads and three top-row shoulder pads featuring a revised sensor structure for increased sensitivity and consistent response regardless of mounting angle. Improved crosstalk protection prevents accidental triggering — so you can trust every hit, every night.

Light up the dark stage

When the stage lights go down, the SPD-SX PRO lights up. Fully customizable horizontal and vertical LED dividers let you see all nine pads clearly, even in complete darkness — no more gaffer tape workarounds. Assign any LED section one of ten preset colors or create and name your own, then group kicks, snares, backing tracks, and click tracks by color for instant visual orientation. LEDs can be set to stay on constantly, activate only when struck, or flash dynamically in sync with the assigned WAV file. The 4.3-inch color display with backlit function buttons and a jog-dial makes navigating sounds and kits lightning-fast, even mid-performance.

Massive memory and rich sounds

With 32 GB of internal storage, the SPD-SX PRO holds nearly 44 hours of crystal-clear 48 kHz/16-bit stereo audio. Over 1,550 factory-preloaded samples and 200 ready-to-play kit patches mean you can perform straight out of the box. WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files are automatically converted to the native format on import — no manual conversion needed. The dedicated app for Windows and Mac makes it easy to import, organize, and edit your sounds and kits, while onboard sample tags speed up sound selection during tight set changes.

Flexible I/O for every setup

The SPD-SX PRO features balanced stereo main outputs plus four fully assignable balanced mono direct outputs — six individual audio feeds for complete flexibility in live mixing. Up to eight external trigger inputs can be connected, and with a dedicated hi-hat/expression pedal input, you can build a full mini drum set around the pad. MIDI in/out, high-speed USB audio (8 channels in, 12 out), and an assignable headphone output complete the comprehensive connectivity options.
