Product Description
The Roland PDA120L-SBK is a snare pad from the V-Drums Acoustic Design (VAD) series, built with a shallow wood shell that gives a playing feel closer to an acoustic snare drum than a typical rubber or mesh pad. Dual zones let you separate strikes on head and rim, giving more realistic response from your electronic kit.
The shallow wood shell is the core of the VAD concept. The idea is that the pad should feel and rebound more like a real drum, while still being a quiet, electronic pad. Alongside the shell, the pad has dual trigger zones: they let you trigger different sounds or samples depending on where you strike, such as head versus rim, opening up more dynamic and varied playing whether you're laying down a groove, playing fills or soloing.
The finish is black, in line with the other VAD pads in the same series, making it easy to match with an existing V-Drums kit.
