The Roland CY-14R-T is a 14" V-Cymbal built to feel closer to an acoustic cymbal in both playing feel and response. Its thinner construction than previous models gives it a more natural rebound, and a special feature lets you choke it with your hand just like a real cymbal.
In most drum modules the cymbal can be configured to work as either a ride or a crash, giving you flexibility to set up your kit the way you play without swapping pads.
Playing Feel
The thinner build is the key difference compared to earlier V-Cymbals in the series. It results in a response that sits closer to an acoustic cymbal, with natural rebound and a strike feel that's livelier than on thicker rubber pads.
Choke Feature
A special function lets you choke the cymbal by grabbing it with your hand, just as you would when muting a real crash or ride. This opens up the same dynamic playing styles you'd use on an acoustic kit.
