The Rogers DynaSonic 37BKL is a hand-built 14×6.5" wood shell snare drum featuring Rogers' legendary floating snare rail system. A design famous for a sensitivity and control that has never been duplicated. This special-production drum comes in a high-luster black gloss lacquer finish and is hand-built in Rogers' USA workshop.

Construction and Materials

The shell measures 14×6.5" (concert depth) and is built from Rogers' proprietary 5-ply Maple/Poplar formula, reinforced with reinforcement rings for added stability and tone. Both batter and snare side hoops are 1.6mm triple-flanged, 10-lug, with cut-out snare gates for free movement of the snare wires. Ten die-cast Beavertail lugs hold the tension rods in place.

Snare System

At the heart of the drum is Rogers' exclusive floating snare rail system, which lifts the snare wires on a dedicated rail separate from the head. Delivering the sensitivity and response this classic design has been celebrated for over decades. The snare wires are adjustable, 20-strand. The system is engaged via a Swivo-matic (clock face style) strainer, with a matching clock face butt end on the opposite side.

Finish and Details

The exterior is finished in high-luster black gloss lacquer. Long celebrated for its luminosity and depth, providing a robust and seamless shell that is visually stunning. The interior is finished with a fruitwood stain. The drum carries Rogers' script logo badge along with an oval Dyna-Sonic "Custom Built" badge.
