Remo Percussion Tablatone Tunable 12"x2" - Fish Skin

Product Description

The Remo Tablatone is a frame drum built to recreate the classic tabla sound, in a 12″ x 2″ size with a fish skin graphic head. It's key-tunable, offering warm, focused fundamentals with crisp edge tones. A great fit for Indian music and world music applications.

The shell is built from Acousticon, and the head is a key-tuned Skyndeep P3 drumhead. A synthetic head engineered to hold up better across climates than natural hide while still capturing the warm, traditional tabla tone. This version features the Fish Skin graphic along with Tablatone Dots, which are part of the head's construction and contribute to the drum's distinct edge tone.

Sound and feel

The Tablatone is designed to emulate the traditional tabla sound of India: a warm, focused fundamental at the center of the head paired with crisp, clear tones toward the edge. That makes it well suited to Indian music and other world music genres where an authentic tabla character is wanted.

Who It's For

Great for players exploring Indian music and world music, or anyone who wants a tunable frame drum with an authentic, warm tabla-style tone without needing a traditional tabla.
